Another British style that has a roasted nut-like aroma. Brewed with a number of dark malts, which lend a complex malt character. This beer does not have a lot of hop bitterness, only enough for balance.

What we have here is a pint can that appears to have a highly carbonated beverage within, judging by its opening. Thusly, it took a delicate pour to empty entirely its contents into a clear glass liter mug. There is plenty, perhaps excessive biege foam to contend with, so the pour is slow. The liquid is brown-amber, brght and translucent; less brown, brighter and more translucent than most brown ales. Its aroma, although not pronounced, is right for a Nut Brown Ale. The moderately roasted barley malt is there, with a little nutty character from its combination with the hops. Its taste is pleasant, but undistinguished. It's malty sweet, not overly so, but it's just marginally nutty. There's nothing wrong here. This is a very pleasant pint to have. There's a nice brown ale balance between the malt and hops. It's neither too sweet, nor too bitter, exactly as the style should be. The mouthfeel is light, but sufficient, making this very drinkable. Modest glass lacing will attest to the body. The finish is a good reference of the style, but it's again, a little too modest. Overall, this is nice, just not a brew that will make it a memorable event for the taste buds.

On draught. A dark tea colored pour with a decent tan head and surprisingly good clarity for a dark brew.
Toasted caramelized malt with a pleasant nuttiness, hints of tea and cocoa. Nice subtle hops profile. A lite/medium bodied mouthfeel with a little carbonation tingle on the finish.
Good stuff.

Tap
Pours a deep cloudy brown, caramel translucent around the edges. Rim of off-white head.
Smells of oak, oatmeal, hazelnut, and roasted coffee.
Tastes of cocoa, caramel, coffee, and nutty malts. Bit of walnut.
Medium body with stinging carbonation on the tongue.
Very nice stout, great flavor and aroma. Definitely worth trying.
