A very pale beer brewed as a lager and which has a crisp, assertive Czechoslovakian Saaz hop character. This beer took 6 weeks to produce because the strain of yeast we used has a slow and cold fermentation, which results in a very smooth beer.

On draught.
A pale straw color with a soapy head that settles thin and forms a collar that produces some slippery lacing.
Toasted Pilsner malt, leather hints, peppery notes and a crisp finish. A smooth easy drinking Pilsner.

(Nearly 8 months old) Nice clarity but not brilliant, head fades fairly quickly. Whiff of stale hops. Age more apparent on the palate. Decent body. Not as terrible as I had expected. Hops still perceptible, but not inviting.

Sample at the BJCP reception last week at HomeBrewCon.
Pale yellow, bready pilsner maltiness with spicy floral hops to counter. Light green apple initially. Not bad.

I reviewed this on-tap on 8/25/2008 and the bottled version is very consistent.
This review is from 3/26/2010 although I'm adding on 6/8/2010 that I just did a comparison between a few bottles of this and a few bottles of lovely Paulaner Original Munich Lager, and I actually prefer this (despite the Lager/Pils comparison), both poured into a clean glass 1/2L stein.
A= golden yellow, modest white head, minimal lacing.
S= lavender, hops florals, light bready sweet malts.
T= very clean, a little more floral taste than many of the more famous Pilsners, light lavender, balanced modest hops bitters, light on carbonation but enough to get a good belch. Very pleasant.
M= clean with some nice hops florals, slightly more bitters than the famous Pils' and some nice bready sweet malts lingering favorably.
D= very drinkable, should go with most meals, snacks, sessions or anything where the slight sweetness wouldn't clash.

Pours out a clear, golden yellow with a 2 finger, white head that falls to a cover while leaving spotty lacing.
Smells of light, lemon citrus and a bit of bread.
The taste is much the same as the smell with a light bitterness.
Mouthfeel tends toward crisp and well carbonated.
This is a pretty tasty and drinkable beer, not outstanding considering the many high quality German pils in my area, but still would be a very nice everyday summer beer. A satisfying beer of which I am glad to have had a few.

This is by far my favorite beer at brewers alley. It is served in a tall pilsner glass and tastes every bit as good as it looks. It has a nice feel when your drinking it as well. The hops stand out but are not overbearing. Unlike some of the other beers, this one is not very heavy and I could definately see drinking this one all night long. A must have.

Pours straw yellow with a thin white cap. Some trailing lace slides down the glass.
The smell is bready, slightly floral.
The taste is of sweetdough/biscuit with plenty of floral, bitter hops. Finishes bitter and dry. The bitterness pushes the envelop on balance.
Crisp, light body. Refreshingly dry.
The breadiness comes through just a tad too much, as does the bitterish for the style, IMO.
Nice, but some more grainy sweetness would give it a better balance. Still, its enjoyable, refreshing and nicely done overall.

Golden straw color with nice one-finger head that fades to some small clumps that decorate the glass on the way down.
Slightly sweet, grainy Pils malt smells, biscuits and honey, with grassy hops notes, slight citrus impression, CO2 gas.
Nice, flavorful and dry American Pils. Pale, rich maltiness that's almost sweet, but the hops come in just in time to balance it out and more, with a spicy hop kick on the finish. Bit of lingering astringent quality.
Full bodied Pils, a bit too strong on the carbonation, doesn't have that creaminess a great Pils has.

Thanks to MuenchenerKindl for this one. It pours a clear golden color. The head is one inch in height, and recedes slowly into fluffy lacing. The aroma is of grassy, floral, and spicy noble hops. The taste is has all the hoppy goodness of the aroma, but is stronger. There is a nice firm bitterness in the finish. The mouthfeel is medium-light bodied with lively carbonation. Overall, this is one of the hoppiest pilseners I have tasted. I would love to have this one readily available in my area.

12oz. bottle
Pours a clear pale straw color with a fizzy white head that thins. Nice lacing on the glass.
Aroma is dominated by herbal and spicy hop tones. A nice, crisp pilsner malt smell lurks beneath.
Herbal hops upfront with a an immediate and rather aggressive bitterness. Nice pilsner malt flavors do manage to cut through the hops. It finishes quite dry with a lingering bitterness.
Light body, well carbonated.
Overall, I expected a great pils after the aroma - but the unchecked bitterness pushed this guy into mediocrity. I love hoppy pilsners, but the best ones I've had maintain great balance in this rather delicate style.

Poured a hazy dull golden color with massive white puffy head. Good lacing and head retention.
Smell is very light with only a light sweet sensation present.
Taste is truly enjoyable. There is a firm malt fruity sweetness back by loads of hops at the finish.
The malt and hops blend nicely at the ending to form a nice mouth feel.
Very pleasant. very drinkable. I could easily drink several of these.
My first beer from this brewery. I would love to try more.
