Brewed especially for early fall, this scrumptious lager has a deeper red color than most lager beers, and a rich maltiness. Not only does this beer match the color of autumn leaves, but it also goes well with many foods; particularly red-meat dishes with herbs, as well as grilled fish. And of course, this beer complements the classic German combination of sauerkraut and wurst.

16 0unce can poured into a .5L dimpled mug.
L:Clear amber, thick 2" ivory head, good retention, leaves some lace.
S: Bread malt, spicy Noble hops.
T: Toasted bread grain, herbal/orange peel hop flavor, sharp medium bitter finish, hints of honey.
F: Higher carbonation, crisp medium-light feel, becoming frothy as the carbonation dissipates.
O: Good, but a bit hoppy for style.

The head on the pour overflowed my pint glass about a quarter in. The receding head does present a nice foamyness with lots of lacing. Slow going on drinking this one as each refill starts the foam party back up.
Mild malt flavor that is easily drinkable. I think should be in the festbier category. Overall a very nice beer.

On draught, a golden pour with low head retention and minimal lacing.
Pleasant maltiness, soft caramel, a little tangy along with the sweetness, notes of various melon flavors.
Slight carbonation bite, and a light caramel/melon fade on the finish.

Appearance:
Transparent gold perforated by jacuzzi jets of bubbles. No, seriously. I’m a little alarmed. Its like watching a reverse snow globe in fast forward. Despite all the bluster, the head is slim and white as an Oreo’s filing; it even has that machine-perfect puck shape. Laces like its challenging the world record for deepest diver.
Bouquet:
Malty and sweet, like a watered-down malt syrup.
Feel:
Light as the intellectual burdens of a vapid sorority girl and equally filled with air.
Taste:
Unusually sweet but not enough to be upsetting. There’s a timid touch of caramel malt but it darts out of sight the instant you notice it, like some traumatized minnow.
Overall:
For an Oktoberfest its unorthodox but for a lager its decent. Light, inoffensive, no jagged edges... bound to please the normies.
