Purchased at the LCBO for a pretty steep $6.00 or so for a 650ml bottle. Served at 4deg C in a draught glass
A- Opens well and pours a tiny head that is gone in seconds. Rather dark gold color and filtered clear
S- Touch of grass. Sweet
T- Touch bitter. Grassy and sweet. Bit of a caramel. Not the best out there. Hit of honey but the malt just overpowers all.
M- Heavy and dry
O- Not a great beer and at this price point I call it a never again beer. Guess when you get others to brew your product you need to up the price to make anything that takes this beer beyond what it's worth.
Food Pairing
This ok beer went well with..... Kentucky fried chicken LOL
Enjoy

A poor man's Steam Whistle (which doesn't say much), Legends of the Bay is decent on a summer's day but the fizzle will disturb your cool nights. The hops are but an afterthought.

Clear golden yellow brew showing a hint of red under a very short-lived head that settles to a thin ring. Somewhat grainy nose. Slight hit of perfume. A little doughy and dry. Thin-bodied. A very ordinary brew with nothing to particularly recommend or damn it. Macro style.

650 ml bottle served cold into a pint glass. Label features some cool looking artwork and bottle was purchased for about $6 CDN.
Appearance - Pale golden color with plenty of red and honey brown hues. I guess that makes it copper colored in all actuality. Very thin layer of head dissipates quickly and the clear beer features minimal bubbles.
Smell - Cereal grain dominated, with a slightly sour aroma which is a bit strange.
Taste - Typical red ale flavors, plenty of cereal grains, thin taste and the slightly off sour aftertaste lingers. Definitely not a fan.
Mouthfeel - Low carbonation, and then a very dry finish. Chewy body too. Maybe works with a stout but not with a red ale.
Overall - I don't want to trash this too bad in case I had a bad bottle, but it's bland, dry and has a slightly sour smell and taste, just not what I'm looking for with an amber ale. I would try it again if offered simply to see if was my bottle or the beer itself, but I won't pick this up again.
