Copenhagen 25/11 2016. 75 cl bottle from Letz Shop, Gl Kongevej, Frb. C. Giant hailing with a glass of beer peeking through the mountaintops on the label.
Pours clear maroon with an off-white quickly receding head. Settles as a thin layer of foam. No lacing.
Aroma is sweet. Fermented fruit, wood and chestnut. Alcohol lurking in the background.
Soft carbonation and slightly thick sticky palate.
Flavor is heavily on the sweet and fruity side. Only rudimentary bitterness. Aftertaste is sweet and lingering.
Like many a Christmas Seasonal it’s way too sweet - and a bit cloying. No favorite of mine.
