Elm Package store is usually my go-to while I'm at ECSU. The selection is pretty good for the area, a decent mix of six packs and bombers. Stock doesn't change very frequently but there is always enough variety. The staff are friendly; although I have never been approached by anybody while shopping checkout is always a pleasant experience.

My only caution is to make sure you check the dates here. Being in a college town Elm moves alot more 30 racks than craft. While there is fresh beer around, I have found bottles as far as 8 months out of code.

This is an awesome place! The personal service that I have received from Elm has always been fantastic. They have been friendly, courteous and really know their stuff. It is out of the way for where I live and work, but I continue to buy from them over my local stores. Their selection is good, and, on the few times that I been looking for something that they normally do not carry, they have been able to special order it for me. Their prices have always been as good as or better than anywhere else that I have seen.

I work down the street from this place and hit it up every now and then at lunch. They have a nice selection of brews as well as wine. The beer is reasonably priced and the selection is good for this area with a nice smattering of craft.

The best part is that they have clearance of items they can't sell quickly and that is the real reason I hit it up every now and then. I got DFH WWS at $5.79/bottle when you can usually find them in this area for $8-$9/bottle. Recently I got a Saison Dupont for $7 for the 750 regularly around $10 in this area.

I used to live right down the street from this place in college. I would go into the co-op next door to grocery shop and stop into Elm every time. Not to mention the daily visits ;) Most of the selection is wine but the liquor is confined only to one aisle. The beer selection, when I was in college, was beyond any other in the area. I have visited friends within the last couple of months and wouldn't ever think of going anywhere else to pick out a sixer for the night. If you get the chance or are looking for your best bet in selection in the Willimantic area, this is definitely the place.

This is a nice little package store in Willi. It has been recently redone, and adjacent to the newly redone Food CoOp. Don't worry about parking, you're car it will be safe. The selection is quite deep. They have growlers, bombers, singles, and cases. If you don't see what your looking for in the glass cooler, or on the shelf behind it take a walk into the cooler, and mossey around. Mike is the resident beer guy there, don't hesitate to engage him he is a pretty nice guy with good knowledge, and is always willing to help. Go there and take a look around. For the area it deffintly scores a B/A.

This is a nice package store in downtown willimantic. The people that work there are very helpful and it has a nice selection of Kegs from Saranac mostly. I picked up a keg of Pale Ale for $55. It was a little old, but it wasn't bad. We just threw it in the kegerator and it was good to go. The prices for other stuff are very reasonable, about as low as the store can go. Their alcohol selection is good and they have a decent beer selection. Nothing too crazy, but alot of the more popular microbrews. I don't believe they had any single bottles and you have to purchase the six pack as the six pack, but it is still a decent place to go, mostly for some kegs.

elm has a pretty standard selection of the major imports and the regional micro's. they also have a small section of some more rare finds (like some belgian ales and ayinger celebrator) they're prices are pretty consistent with the area but they do have some pretty good sales every now and then (they recently had a sale on all magic hats for $4.99 a six pack).

the service is helpful if you have questions but they are more reserved and seem to be less knowledgeable than other staffs at local package stores.

Location makes one pause before getting out of the car (ie guys buying 30 packs to carry home on their bikes), but it's worth going. Micro/import cooler doors outnumber BMC doors 2-1, which is nice.

Selections covered the high spots from around the NE region, although Hooker was obvious in its absence. Almost grabbed some Ipswich growlers, but figured I'd save my cash for another stop.

Gaggle of young ladies working the front counter were more than happy to answer questions. Looks like a reasonable place to stop before or after enjoying a bunch of brews at Willimantic Brewing Co.
