On tap at the Bluetongue Brewery Cafe in Pokolbin.

Pours slightly darker than the standard lager (and, hence, darker than the rest of their range). A deeper golden colour. Some lacing, very clear and the swish reveals absolutely no body to it. I take it that's expected for a Light lager.

Lots of yeast and POR stench on the nose. Some grain must, very light with a sugar-fermented character to it. Not huge and not exciting.

Absolutely nothing on the palate, beside perhaps the character of water that has had some grain wafted over it at some point in the distance past. With no taste, there's little for me to write about. Saved from a bare 1 by not actively being offensive. Purely thin in the mouth.

You can't deny that it's drinkable. Drinkable in the way that particularly bland water is drinkable. Not drinkable in the way that you actually want to drink it.

Pours a golden amber colour, fair head but doesn't stick around despite generous carbonation. Good lacing - saves it from being a bit of a disappointment, really.

Very unpleasant yeasty nose, very standard. No hops and maybe a bit of malt but mostly a nutty yeast and adjunct kind of smell. Not a fan at all.

Taste is not great, with a sticky cloying yeast overpowering all other flavours. A malty hit on the front, not very complex, just sticky and sweet, and confined entirely on the front palate. Has a bitter adjunct flavour on the back and a very short finish with no crisp hops or even long drawn-out unpleasantness, just cuts off. This is reasonably malty for a light, but otherwise is very plain, and quite unpleasant. Mouthfeel is quite watery, but there's enough to know it's there.

Meh.
