Hazy orange. White head, quite a lot, but quickly falling down. Not too beautiful.
At the nose, cereals, tropical fruits, swetness, melon. Definitely sweet.
The taste is a bit less sweet, but anyway, nothing to remember. Cereals.
After a while, some pungent smells, tending to solvent.
Not satysfating.

BTW: witbier?

250 ml bottle, as "Leireken Bio Witte Spelt / Epautre Blanche" (the word "Special" is not used), now available in Norway (Vinmonopolet, bestillingsutvalget) - at an outrageous price. ABV is 5%. Made of organic ingredients. BB date end of 2007. Sediment in the bottle. Very pale and cloudy / milky straw coloured beer with a huge white head. Very nice wheaty, citrussy and spicy (cloves, coriander?) aroma. The flavour is distinctly spicy and wheaty with a quite rich mouthfeel, but also very refreshing. Spicy and hoppy bitter finish. An excellent beer in my book.

This witbier immediately starts foaming when the cap is removed and ends up filling up the glass with foam with only a small amount of beer pours.

Nose is typical belgian wheat beer, citrus-like and somewhat sweet.

Taste is clean and refreshing, with the wheat character somewhat less notable than in the nose. This seems like a great beer for a hot day. Besides wheaty character this isn't much else to this beer, a faintly bitter aftertaste amongst typical witbier sweetness. This does seem a hint watery.

Very decent witbier offering, worth trying though there are no 'mysteries of beer' explored here.
