Brasserie De Silenrieux S.A. (Chez L'Père Sarrasin)

Poured a bottle into a Laser Etched Sam Adams Glass. It pours a murky yellow with lively carbonation and a fizzy head that fades fast. Lacing is present but bubbles are fairly large for a Belgian. Dough, yeast, butter and possibly banana meet in the smell. The mouthfeel is oily but light. I'm not getting much floral sensation but the mint is very nice. I think this beer is very drinkable and I'm really glad I've had an opportunity to have it. I have 2 more bottles that I will definitely enjoy.

Yellow color, lively carbonation. A very longlasting, abundant, creamy head. Very beautiful.
Malt, orange peel, white and yellow flowers in the nose. Peach, mint. Fresh and pleasant.
Again floral in the taste, with a sweet fruitiness, well balanced by the orange peel. Even a resolute and pleasant bitterness.
Quite light is the body. Pleasant and fresh the aftertaste, with notes of flowers, orange peel, and a quite good hop.

Pours with a large fluffy white head, very active carbonation off the bottom of the tulip glass.

nose is a typical belgian amber, bready, buttery, yeasty. Always reminds me of freshly baked bread in butter/grease. Attractive.

Taste is a bit malty, with some bitterness following after initial impact. This follows into the aftertaste, where it remains a bit faint. Overall, taste is a bit subdued.

Tasty, enjoyable beer. I have had mixed results with other beers using the Leireken label (3), but this is certainly drinkable.

Poured from 250ml bottle into a tulip. Bright cloudy straw yellow/orange head with a rocky, bubbly white head and above-average retention.

Aroma is doughy yeast and fruity; bananas and peaches. Light grassy/earthy hops taste as well.

Taste is very sweet, mostly pears with a hint of bananas and yeast in the background. Very little bitterness, balance, or complexity whatsoever, minus the light alcohol flavor that barely comes out in the last third of the glass. Honestly, it tastes like canned fruit cocktail, not a beer.

Somewhat thin, oily mouthfeel, but good carbonation. Drinkability is alright, as there's very little offsetting about this beer, and it is quite refreshing. I wouldn't recommend this.
