A: virtually black, opaque, only a scant ring of head in a snifter
S: clean fresh roast, malt, coffee
T: stiff roast bitterness, traditional coffee, suprisingly little chocolate
M: decidedly dry, medium-bodied
O: Great stout, super dry, roast coffee, toast, perhaps a little too drinkable for it's alcohol content =)

On tap at Left Coast Brewing Comapny in San Clemente, CA.
Pours an almost opaque super dark brown with a foamy dark khaki head that settles to a film on top of the beer. Small streaks of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is of dark roasted malt, cocoa, fruit, port, and a funky aroma. Taste is much the same with some funky flavors on the finish. There is a mild amount of roasty bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp and medium bodied mouthfeel. Overall, this is a pretty poor beer that sounds good on paper but seems to be experiencing some sort of infection issue.
