Another contract brew for the Earls restaurant chain.
This beer appears a hazy medium copper hue, with one finger of soapy white head, which leaves an iceberg vista of lace around the glass as it settles. It smells faintly of sweet barley malt, and floral, musty honey. The taste is soft grainy malt, earthy honey, and a bit of weedy hops. The carbonation is average, the body medium weight, and a little sticky, as far as the top of my mouth is concerned. It finishes mostly dry, with an echo of honey, and weedy hops.
A pretty decent-looking brew, and the honey is there, but quite plain in its manifestation. The sweetness is kept well in check, but there's a strange, hard to describe dryness to the whole deal, and it didn't make me desire another.
