A normal blonde beer, lots of visible carbonation until I added the yeast. Hazy with yeast. The white head has big bubbles and lingers. Some lacing.
Smells yeast with light fruits. Quite Belgian in style really. Citrus peel, pear (skin), other light fruits.
Hoppy.
A tasty brew, especially if we look at the low AVB: 5%^.
Same as in the nose really, light fruity aromas from the yeast and the hops. Not very bitter at all. Light malts really. Tasty.
Overly carbonated, the mouthfeel is too bubbly I think. Light to medium bodied.
Overall a tasty beer. Not very special but for a 5% blonde this is very well done.

Beer bottle (33cl), tasted in 2004.
Appearance : blond color (limpid), with white foam head.
Smell : well hoped.
Taste and mouthfeel : It is again the hops that is most present, with resinous notes, and bitter flavor.
Drinkability : an average beer in the style Belgian Pale ale.

A golden yellow beer with a beautiful head and a lot of carbonation.
Smell was hoppy and malty, as a perfect balance. The hops give a citric and fruity smell (Fuggles, Goldings?) that remind me of exotic fruits, like pine-apple. It also has some raw, resinous edge to it, like it has been dry-hopped.
Taste was citrus, orange, lemon, lime (Fuggles), but in a smooth way. Not aggresively hoppy, but rather aromatic hoppy. The bitterness was not overwhelming, which makes the beer very drinkable. On the other hand, maltiness balanced it all. Great beer!

Absolutely too carbonated, and this ruins the head too (big bubbles) and the retention. Full yellow in colour, quite dark.
The smell: camomile flowers, marzipan and citric, but not well amalgamated, and not clean.
The taste is again citric, quite sweet, and astringent. No hops or bitterness.
Some bitterness in the aftertaste. Medium-low body. It left some unpleasant frizzy in the mouth.
