From 33cl bottle, consume before end of 2009, lot 283 on front label. Poured into a Cantillon flute.
Black liquid, hints of brown around edges. Dense tan head, decent lacing. The head stays in a ring around the edge of the glass until the last drop is gone.
Strong aroma of roasted barley, the burnt kind. Lovely.
Flavors are balanced, with nothing overpowering. Initially there is chocolate and burnt toast flavor. It's definitely dry, without any malt sweetness. The finish is a touch bitter - tastes like roasted barley bitterness more than hops.
The mouthfeel is light for a stout, but still full. Light creaminess.
Easy drinking. Nice brew.

Black hue, vinous reflexes. Beige head, typical. Not very compact.
The smell: coffee, chocolate, vanilla, soft, roasted malt: a stout!
The taste is roasted malt, and grassy bitterness. Less detectable the chocolate and coffe, even if still present.
In the aftertaste the cocoa powder and the chocolate rise up again, merging with the roasted, and they create a smooth effect, delicate and persistent.
Typical body.
