Sample at the brewpub. This beer is a clear golden color with a top ring of lacing and spots underneath. Spotty lacing on the glass. Mild hops, grass and corn aroma. Light-bodied with hops and grainy malt flavors. The finish is short with lightly bitter hops aftertaste. Standard stuff all around.

On tap at brewery, 02/04/08.
Clear, light yellow with lots of active bubbles, even in a taster glass. Nice little head. Honey notes in aroma along with floral hops. Sweet malt, citrus, lemongrass flavors. Inoffensive corn in aftertaste. Not bitter at all.
If you're going to do a golden/blonde ale, it ought to be like this, though it might use a touch more hops for bittering.

First off, this beer is good for what it's supposd to be. I mean, no blonde ales actually look that inviting or really taste that good but for the style I think this beer did alright. In any case, this was poured on tap into a pint glass.
It was crystal clear and had some bubbles coming out of solution. Didn't create any head or leave any lacing but there was a little carbonation to it. It was a very light/blonde color. Basically like a mexican beer but clearer.
There wasn't much aroma to speak of. There was touch of malt in the nose but nothing else. The flavor was entirely of malt. As with most Blondes there was a touch of honey in the taste. No hops anywhere. Also, couldn't tell that this had alcohol in it but it did have enough of a beer flavor to warant trying once. Could make for a good cool drink on a hot day.
The body was like water, considering that the OG and FG of this beer were probably close to that of water its not surprising. Very drinkable though, as long as you can get over the fact that its a wimpy beer.
