Sample at the brewpub. This brew is a cloudy yellow-orange color with a minimal white head that does not last. Nil lacing is evident. Aroma of fruit and wheat. Light, clean body with flavors of sweet fruit, wheat and a touch of hops. The finish is fruity with a short citrus and wheat aftertaste. Barely average overall.

On tap at brewery, 02/04/08.

Cloudy peach colored brew. Almost no head or aroma. Wheat flavor with metallic tinge. Grainy, sweet finish with some kind of citrus (orange or lemon) note. No hop character. A little parching.

Despite this description, I found it not very complex or compelling, though not obviously flawed.

Had this on tap. I'm not sure if hefeweizen is the best description for this beer because that implies that its german in style. I found this beer to be much more american wheat ale-ish but I couldn't find a good style in the american section.

It poured an oranage color and had a nasty texture. That is it wasn't very uniform and very murky. It produced a small head that didn't stick around long.

The aroma was nice and wheaty but also kinda sour. Definitely American. I didn't get a slice of lemon in mine but my friend did and I think his tasted better. The flavor, like I said before, was more American. It was too dark to be called a Pale Wheat Ale. It had moderate hop bitterness for a hefe and had lots of wheat and basic 2 row pale malt. The sourness I'm pretty sure comes from the wheat. In the end it balanced out to an alright taste.

The body was nice and heavy letting you know you're drinking a real craft brew. Moderately drinkable but not the best beer I've had.
