Consumed at the brewery August 30th, 2011.

Beer was noted as 6% ABV on menu.

Beer is a clear brown, slightly on the darker side of medium. As typical with all this brewery's beers, there is a very nice head composed of very fine white bubbles that provides a small but sticky crown and lacing.

Aroma of molasses.

Flavor is similar, with a hint of caramel malt. Almost no bitterness. Think Newcastle clone with less nut character but more maltiness and sweetness.

Unexceptional mouthfeel.

Unremarkable effort, except that there really are no flaws. A tiny amount of bitterness would help hugely.

Last pint I tried at Omaha's Jacks a couple days back, looked very thin and light for a brown of this type when it arrived at our table

A-Light to medium brown in color, small bubbly white head that went down pretty quickly, not much retention, no lacing

S-Aroma was great and stood out compared to other characteristics of this beer, sweet vanilla and caramel, brown sugar, candy, hint of milk chocolate, other sweetness, pecans and almonds, toffee, and Hawaiian bread

T-Started off with a big and sweet caramel taste, some toffee and nutty malts in the middle, finish was also sweet with some vanilla, this went down really easy because of the lack of fullness in the body, did not change much over time other than getting slightly sweeter and less chewy, stuff was very easy to drink and it is too bad there was not more complexity

M-Sweet, slightly chewy, and nutty mouthfeel, thin bodied, lots of carbonation, taste could have definitely lasted a little longer

D-Could have drank a few pints of this stuff as well, light on the stomach for level of sweetness it carries, ABV is low as well, smooth and inviting

Smell was phenomenal compared to everything else, decent in comparison to other beers of this style I have tasted, might drink again if I went back and the India pale ale was not on tap, worth trying if you are there though

This beer poured a dark red/brown. It was quite clear and produced a pleasant offwhite head. Mild to medium lacing. The aroma was sweet and caramel like. The menu says there are hints of toffee and caramel. The brewers description is on the money here. Interesting to note: no coffee in the smell or flavor. The flavor was mild and sweet. It was rather nice actually. In true british fashion, absolutely zero hop presence here. The body was relatively light and the beer went down real smooth. Pretty drinkable.
