Absolutely marvelous.
Had a large glass of this with my lunch at Redoak....
Heavy, pale tan head that doesn't recede. Rich brown with orange hints at the edges.
Aromas of coffee, fleshy yeast, esters. Warm & appealing...
The flavours expand on the aromas, with some chocoltae hints, but also some BBQ-like roasted notes, and a hint of soy, that would see this beer partner a scotch fillet perfectly. Slight characters of banana & clove, with a rich mouthfeel, and lingering finish.
