Review from BeerAdvocate Magazine March 2007.

Brewed exclusively for the Opera Bar--located on the lower concourse of Sydney's famous Opera House--by Redoak, using certified organic ingredients. Simply known as "OB."

Presented in a small glass. Hazy and pale blonde in color. Very lively carbonation creates an über-creamy head with great retention. Pale malts in the nose; a hint of bread; notes of blossom honey on toast. Mouthfeel is creamy...like, really creamy. Tonic-like crispness beneath a light sweetness; hints of banana pith, light breadiness, and some toasty undertones. Towards the end, faint honey, herbal and powdery husk wrapped in a drying finish.

Fairly average, but tasty and highly drinkable. Definitely worth a try. OB is a great alternative to the mainstream crap on tap at this bar, and you can't find this beer anywhere else in the world. Pair with simply prepared seafood and al- low the two to complement each other.

Available at one outlet only - the Opera Bar adjacent to the Sydney Opera House. Fantastic view, as you can imagine.... not my kinda crowd, though.

The beer, served in the ubiquitous "schmiddy", rates well

a: Pale yellow / dark straw. Slight haze. Very fine, whipped egg-white head, which sinks quickly.

s: Served quite cold, so took a while for notes of wheat & citrus to lift.

f: Interesting mix of experiences.... my first sensation was of a slight pale leather note, or even slight green herb / fresh tobacco leaf. But spice & lime notes backed up, with the wheat malt.

m: A bit light.... disappeared quicker than I would have liked

d: Very refreshing, and certainly better than the few other Australian Wit's around.
