Cask conditioned at the 32nd Cambridge Beer Festival, gravity dispense. Deep brown colour. Strong silage aroma, some would probably say "with a hint of vomit", some caramel too. Mouthfeel maybe a bit thin. Malty flavour with some caramel. Not much bitterness.

Appearance: ruddy mahogany, slight haze, light tan layer of spongey foam with a creamy top, good head retention, bits of lace
Aroma: richly malty, dark caramel, chocolate cake, hazelnut syrup, touch of coffee, iron
Flavor: dryish malt backbone with a dark, pumpernickel breadiness; touch of licorice, sarsparilla, and a very light hint of hop bitterness; finishes semisweet with an aftertaste of burnt caramel and malty bread
Mouthfeel: medium body, pert carbonation, soft texture
Other: This is basically just a run-of-the-mill Dark Mild with somewhat flashy packaging. Not sure how "cynful" it is (not overly flavorful or strong).
