500ml Keg from Raku Beer, Hiroshima, Japan (¥1200):
This one was a fairly enjoyable beer & one that I'd place somewhere between a hefeweizen & witbier in style thanks to the abundance of wheat, coriander & cloves coming through with both the nose & the taste. The beer was a fairly standard tasting one overall but there was some citrus coming through to add a nice tang, there was also some subtle hops further on which helped with the balance & made it an easy beer to drink as well as one of the better of the style I managed to try in Japan.

Bought a bottle of this from the Hiroshima Airport in Hiroshima, Japan. Poured into a weizen glass. Bottled 7/1/13, best by 8/30/13. I thought this was a decent weizen, but there wasn't too much going on beyond the normal banana and clove combo. I was glad to have tried this, but I'm not sure I will be looking for it again. If you are in Hiroshima though, you should definitely try it out!

Thick, orange creamsicle color head of tiny bubbles interspersed with bigger bubbles to give it a lop-sided, poofy sort of look. Heavy on a thin film lacing. Light sweet banana/peach smell. Fragrant.
Taste, too, was a sweet banana and peach mixture not at all overpowering. However, seemed to get sweeter as I continued to drink. Wheaty, with a pleasant wheat aftertaste as well. Thick body--lots of stuff in this beer. But the carbonation was like going-flat seltzer, which definitely took away from the mouthfeel. Good beer, but heavy, certainly. And taste is small and fleeting.
