On tap at the brewery – Los Angeles Arts District
Served in a house shaker pint glass - 01/11/14

A: Super clear light straw gold body equipped with a thin rim or frothy white suds. Looks like a persistent layer of shave cream floating on top. Random dots of creamy lace noted.

S: Smells of soapy hops with a big floral presence and a very faint dusting of citrus zest. Firm underpinnings of a creamy malt sweetness. Mostly soft and restrained aromas with nothing too stand out.

T: Soapy floral hops with some very mild tangerine and pine meld with a creamy malt base and dash of caramel sweetness. Malt is cracker like and has a light vanilla cream taste which is perhaps from the yeast strain selected here? Kind of watered down with very mild bitterness and no trace of alcohol. An okay drink but slightly uninspired.

M: Very light in body with a spritzy carbonation giving a nice creamy feel. Bright and crisp drying at the finish. A touch watered down overall.

D: A nice sessions IPA but it leaves a lot to be desired. Very light with the hops and has a distinct soapiness coming across. Not particularly flawed but there are much better renditions of this style out there.

On tap at Crazy Harry's in Winnetka, CA.

Pours a clear yellow with a foamy off-white head that settles to a partial film on top of the beer. Foamy rings of lace line the glass on the drink down. Smell is of malt, citrus fruit, and citrus zest aromas. Taste is much the same with grapefruit, citrus zest, and slight pine flavors on the finish. There is a mild amount of hop bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a good level of carbonation with a crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a pretty good beer that is quite tasty and very drinkable for a session IPA.
