There is such a thing as true happiness. The proof: whiskey and beer. So we worked with our Irish brethren to help marry the two. Introducing Imperial Irish Red Aged in Jameson Barrels. This richly robust, mahogany-hued ale has notes of fig, toffee, tobacco and whiskey. Aged for 6 months in Jameson Irish Whiskey barrels, this full bodied-beer has flavors of vanilla, molasses, dried stone fruits and black cherries with a distinctly peppery finish. Indulgent, subtly sweet with a warming linger, this is a beer meant to be sipped and savored.

Angel City's Imperial Red Ale Aged in Jameson Whiskey Barrels... This exclusive beauty of a beer was poured on draft at Crane's Downtown Bar in Los Angeles.. the last remaining keg of the original batch. Poured into a 10oz snifter.
Look: A deep crimson red, fully opaque. Minimal lacing.
Smell: very boozy, dominated by familiar notes of sherry, cherries, and plum with an even balance of oak in the finish.
Taste: I was amazed at the distinct flavors found here. Strong Oak notes with an obvious Irish whiskey feel for those who know the iconic Jameson profile. Very woody, and evident charred oak notes with that same familiar deep fruitiness found in the smell.
Feel: Thick-bodied beer, extremely smooth. No carbonation.
Overall: Trying this beer has been long-awaited, and did not let me down. I think Angel City did a great job taking advantage of an incredible opportunity, and the imperial red style really worked well being aged in the Jameson barrels. Well worth the wait, cheers!
