Just finished having this at their Manhattan Beach location (not sure if the other locations have the same beers or not?).
The color was a nice shade of dark copper. Head retention was okay...not much lacing, but I think that may have been due to the glass.
Both the aroma and taste have Christmastime written all over them: nutmeg, cinnamon and more. I always look forward to Anchor's Xmas offering, and this beer reminded me of theirs.
If you like winter brews, I believe you'll like this one.

On draft at brewery, 01/07/08.
Excellent head retention (still some left after 30 minutes in a taster glass!). Medium orange/copper. Aroma of cinnamon and nutmeg. Christmasy. Tastes like apple cider with cinnamon stick. Lingering taste of apples. Did I get a light cider by mistake?
Not bad, just... well, not bad.
