On tap at the brewery. New collaboration with Lookout Brewing. Pours a clear copper with a ½ finger of bright-white head. This maintains a rich look, soaping the sides of the glass with thick swathes of lace. The aroma smells floral and piney with some underlying notes of bitter citrus and herbal character. The taste is similar, with a moderately aggressive mix of fresh citrus and pine which gives way to some underlying herbal tones and a neutral feeling malt sweetness. The finish is dry and bitter with some lingering resins. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with some crispness on the tongue and then more of a smooth and creamy carbonation along the back. Not sure of the ABV on this but it was handled well. This was nice. It was more of a mellow yet nonetheless tasty American IPA that satisfied my hop fix but didn’t torch my palate with bitterness. Good job.
