Crests past two fingers of pure white foam, multitude of bubble sizes creates an irregular surface, very good retention, the lacing is comprised of long, thin streaks which likewise cling tenaciously. Fairly dark gold to orange color, mild cloudiness to it but no visual sign of particles, no hue loss at the rims or glass bottom, few visible bubbles. Smells spicy and earthy, dank in a dry manner not so much wet and herbal, orange citrus with a hint of grapefruit, dark bread, not a strong fruit presence, white pit fruit and some apple. In the mouth it’s full-bodied, even dryer than the nose suggests, starts parching the mouth from the first sip. Peppery, minerally, toasty bread crusts, after some time you can discern cocoa and Ovaltine powder. The citrus stays quiet, however, more willingness to speak in the pineapple, peach, papaya fruit. Still, minimal juiciness and lots of sourness. The carbonation starts off with prickle but flattens in creaminess before you swallow. This one is mostly clean with an intentional dry dankness and a very erect posture in the mouth, freshness over sweetness.

Came in a standard pint kind of a burnt orange infused lighter golden with a full one finger head atop.Big tropical fruit notes in the nose, extremely fruity,I got some tangerine and mango with light grassiness. The flavors are alot like the aroma's with sweet almost candied tropical fruits over top of a sweet biscuit base.Although it's a bit on the sweeter side the big fruitiness makes this IPA stick out,a really good beer.

A 22oz bottle picked up at Brusin Ales, Asheville in late March, 2016

L - Bronze yellow, cloudy, with 2 fingers of head and lots of sticky lace left all over the glass. This is how a proper IPA should look

S - Citrus and floral hops are prevalent, but a nice malty grain backbone rounds out the aroma

T - Citrus, pine, and grains mix well, very tasty, refreshing. Tasty IPA!

F - Medium body, well carbonated, crisp and oily smooth down the pipe

O - A tasty refreshing IPA, whose relative high abv is totally hidden

Appearance: pours a dark golden yellow / light orange color with a 2" head that slowly fades to a thick surface covering. Nice lace develops during the session.

Smell: citrus and hop aroma are easily detectable here.

Taste: nice caramel flavors with orange, lemon zest, pear, mango, and some soft earthy tones make up a well balanced and flavorful IPA.

Mouthfeel: medium bodied beer. Crisp throughout.

Overall: a super easy to drink IPA that is refreshing.
