Attractive chestnut brown ale with fairly modest off-white head. Great malty nose with some spices. Taste is a fine balance of sweet and spicy malt and some decent hops. Clean and balanced start to finish, a slightly dry mouthfeel. Happy to try this, my first beer from this brewery. Poured from a can dated 04/20/16 -- presumably the production date (if it's a best-by date, I'm even more impressed).

12 oz can poured into IPA glass. Canned on 4/20/16.

A - semi cloudy orange/amber color with brown highlights. A one finger tan head that retains well.

S - Light citrus (Orange), pine, and biscuit.

T - Follows the nose, with some mint and spruce on the finish. A touch of the caramel malts peek through every now and the.

M - Medium low carbonation, moderate to low mouthfeel.

O - Goes down fast, pretty straight ahead and clean beverage, and it helps a great cause. Recommended.

Pours into a standard pint a clear rich copper with nicely tight formed half finger off white head atop that leaves a broken ring of lace behind.Muted aromas with some faint earthiness and nutty malts mainly.Crisp and dry on the palate with a good amount of nutty maltiness to go along with earthy somewhat spicy Chinooks, again very crisp and dry,one of the dryer amber ales I have had.A nice almost creamy feel and the dryness makes this very quaffable at 5.7%,a solid beer here.
