Pours into an imperial nonic a dull lighter copper color with a lacey thinner white head atop.Full on juicy tropical fruits in the nose, mango and lime stands out with a mildly sweet biscuit base and toasted grain note as well.Flavors of tropical fruits, leafiness, and caramel malts,a noticable toasted cereal note in the finish, man I love the Cira hops.A great fresh tasting left coast IPA from Black Mountain,Pisgah is solid.

A - A golden straw, amber color, with 1 finger of head.
S - Dank bitter hops, delicious. Nice mix of citrus hops.
T - Big and hoppy, and smooth. Not a hop bomb. Nice blend of bitter and citrus hops. Very tasty!
M - Medium to light bodied, lots of carbonation
O - Excellent west coast IPA done by an east coast brewery. Just the way I like em, nice and extra hoppy. Well done!

Growler from Appalachian Vintner consumed streamside in the Pisgah. West Coast is a medium amber in color and capped with a full, well retained head. Generous hops cut right through the grainy, lightly caramelized body with big grapefruit and woody pine. Light to medium in body with a cleansing, moderate carbonation. Bitterness hits quickly and lingers long. Dank and resinous, maybe lacking a little in the exotic fruits and vivid citrus that seem to define a top-tier IPA, but a clear improvement over their standard IPA and a winner in my book.
