Pint, hand pulled in the Cock Hotel, Wellington Shropshire.
Golden colour, almost lager clear, but not as clean looking, the thin white head lasted a while, but couldn’t stay the full distance, it became a wisp and collar half way down the glass.
According to the pub clip it showcasing American Hops, no mention of which ones though: the smell was piney hop orientated with no malt aromas to be found.
The taste wasn’t as hoppy as I’d imagined, the hops certainly made their presence felt, initially and as the mouth dried: it has a bitter feel to it, not overly so, whatever malt content there is helps to smooth out some of the hops control.
Not a bad beer, tried it because I thought the brewery might have gone to town on the hops like a lot of the US breweries seem to have done, they haven’t.
