Golden-to amber body with an average, frothy, white head, mostly lasting with fair lacing.
Moderate-to-heavy hoppy (citrus, grapefruit, flowers) and light malty (caramel) aroma with notes of fruits and maybe honey.
Moderate-to-heavy bitter and light sweet flavour with an average-lasting bitter finish.
Light-to-medium body with watery-to-oily texture; soft carbonation.

Genova 26/7 2024. 33 cl bottle from Capital Baliano, Via Lorenzo, Genova. Blue version of Moretti’s usual design with a beer drinking blonde fellow with a cute hat. As "Birra Moretti Italian Pale Ale".
Pours unclear golden yellow with a big, fluffy, white head. Stable. Settles as thin layer of foam covering the surface of the beer. Substantial lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with a sweet odor of ripe Stone fruits mingling with pale malts. Peach and apricot scent of citrus fruit. Lemon and citrus.
Medium strong carbonation. Thin, oily, lively and tingling texture. A bi fizzy
Flavor is medium intense with a medium strong sweetness followed by a slightly stronger bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter and a bit tart. A tad thin. Lingers shortly. Finish is rather dry.
Decent if somewhat generic Indian Pale Ale.

Sampled on a trip to Italy. It is the first time I've had this beer, which surprised me. I had this one on tap with dinner. It is a somewhat dark hazy color...murky. One finger of white head, but it was long-lasting and left an impressive lace. The hops had a traditional American IPA quality, with a clean aroma. Lighter on malt smell than most Italian brews. The taste didn't have a bitter hop backbone, but it also didn't have the anticipated Italian sweetness (drier than most Italian beers). The finish is a little abrupt and hollow...it could use some more malt and hops in the hind-taste. All-in-All, though, not bad.

Super smooth appearence, amazing colour.
Aroma is kind of between and English and a West Coast IPA...a little on the heavy side.
Really good bitterness in the initial tongue feel, and again in the after taste.
Taste is bitter...with tangerine and tangerine peel dominating. Complex. But not as amazing as many others from the West Coast...a little on the flat side for an IPA and quite a lot of effervescence. And heavy.
Anyway I'm totally stoned so I might try reviewing again at some point ; )

Poured from a brown 11.2 oz. bottle, on a beautiful afternoon in Naples. Has a caramel color with a 1/2 inch head. Smell is of malts, light pine. Taste is the same as the aroma, mild bitterness. Feels medium-full bodied in the mouth and overall is a refreshing and pretty good beer.
