Enjoyed at Ruggine bar in Bologna. Crisp and light, works well as a second beer.

Labelled as a helles, but tasting like a premium lager. Aroma and taste are normal malt essence, nothing special about this. Drinkable, and better than a mass market lager, but well behind its German brethren for this style.

Sans Suoci...
Found at a restaurant in Venice...
Appearance-light yellow appearance with a little orange mixed in, large bubbles coalesce around the glass.
Smell-sweet maltiness, a lot of alcohol as well.
Taste/Mouthfeel-really malty, sticky sweet and thin, somewhat rash on the maltiness on the way down, at first it almost hits you in the head, stays with you throughout.
Drinkability-maltiness again is really forceful, not really bad to drink but not that enjoyable either.
Overall-unbalanced and not that enjoyable a beer, those who love malt may enjoy it but even then it has a pushed-together character that keeps it from being recommended.

Beer bottle (25cl), tasted in 2000.
Appearance : clear golden color, with white foam head.
Smell : hops and grass aromas.
Taste and mouthfeel : sweet malty, watery palate, light hoppy finish.
Drinkability : a beer in the lager style, but without any character.
