Sampled on tap at the Brewgrass festival in Asheville, North Carolina. Consumed on 09/20/2008 and reviewed from notes taken at the time.

I found the pour on this one to come across rather well. Rich light banana in color with a good bit of cloudiness, but not enough to obscure the copious amount of carbonation lying underneath of it. A very nice looking head of about two fingers in height quickly rose up over the top of it and settled down with some nice side glass lacing visible throughout.

The aroma was very nice, light orange and lemon zest coming off of it, a slightly fresh grass like aroma that mixed in well with some yeast that was giving off a grain like smell. Light apples as it began to warm started to take over the profile. The flavor was crisp and clean, a touch drying on the finish, with a healthy dose of hops rounding it out and providing a good deal of bitter in the finish. Nice peach and apple like flavor in the middle with the front hops being light and yet biting enough to let you know they were there. Very nice light feel with fine carbonation that ticked the throat and nose on the way down. An easy session beer and a good beginner Belgian ale I would think,

Overall while certainly not the best I have ever had I would struggle to say that this one was not worthy of further exploration. A very nice and tightly clustered profile, really very well done. I would have no issue with trying this one again.

I found this brew on tap at a local establishment.
This brew arrived as a medium plus golden colour, with a two finger crown, light carbonation, limited cloudiness and a medium body.
The aroma is to the hops with high citrus tones.
The taste is sweet to begin and the malts are prominent and continue throughout, then melts into a light hoppy backup.
The mouthfeel is lighter than anticipated and dry. Very nice, recomended. jimmy

Advertised as a Belgian Pale Ale, it falls short of competing with serious Belgian Ales, but still a nice beer. The aromas contain little in the way of the Belgian yeast or bread aromas, liittle in souring, or candy character. Light hopping does help some. The color is lightly murky straw although with good head retention. Flavors are reminescent of Belgian candy, malt, and fruit, but are lighter in flavor and body than most. This beer lacks the spices that are unleashed durring fermentation of Belgian yeast. Lacks the active fermentaiton and thicker textures. The beer finishes fairly clean and crisp. A well brewed beer but not the best for the style.

Sampled at the Main Street CAfe in Jonesborough (the closest outlet to the actual brewery), this came in a frosted 33 cl pilsner glass. It had no head, just a collar. Clear, slightly dark gold, with some carbonation bubbles. Pretty good lace under the circumstances (no head, too cold). The nose is subdued sweet malt, with a classic citrus twang. The mouth is light and very prickly. Excellent Belgian pale profile - sweet fruity malt followed by a good hoppy bite. There's a bit of apricot here. The aftertaste includes a nice bitter dryness. Well done!

A amber beer with a small white head that disappears quickly. Aroma was on mild side light malt and spice aromas. Taste was much better malt lightly sweet with pepper spice leading to mixture of hops and more spice, something besides pepper but can't put my finger on it. There is a linger after taste of spice and hops that is pleasant and begs for another drink. This beer grows on you as you drink it about half way threw before I really started enjoying it. Mouthfeel is right for the style, drinkability is good and grew on me. I would order this again, hope it does well in the Tricities.
