Based on a lightly hopped Pale Ale and then spiced with oriental Ginger- BAM up a notch. Good for that thirst anytime.

Sampled on tap at the Brewgrass festival in Asheville, North Carolina. Consumed on 09/20/2008 and reviewed from notes taken at the time.
The pour was fairly decent on this one. A nice orange tinted rather medium amber color coming through on the pour. Some light carbonation could be seen through the mostly transparent body of the beer. A smallish head of maybe an inch came up and quickly faded leaving behind only the subtlest of side glass lacing.
The aroma was far too light for me, I should not have to practically drink the thing to smell it! Aside from this when I actually could pick out the aromas it was fairly well put together. Decent citrus hops spiking up with hints of orange and pineapple being dominant over a mostly light grain dominated base. Interesting flavor profile, first off it came off far too light in the overall picture to be really considered strongly, but the flavor was crisp and clean, leaving almost know after taste. It was a really thin IPA, more of a light pale ale even. Big carbonation and super light feel led to and interesting session able ale, but the whole thing was rather just too thin.
Overall I will have to say ehh on this one. Was not really pad in anyway it just did not seem to be able to hold up with most of the other really solid ales that were at this tasting. Maybe if they doubled everything they could come up with something that would be noticeable as this was just fairly forgettable.

I had this on tap at the State Line Bar And Grill in Bristol, Tn last night. The beer was a cloudy mahogany color. The smell was of hops with spices. The taste was a little watered down for an IPA. Not very hoppy. Mid range for the style. The mouthfeel was fairly good. The drinkability was affected somewhat by the watered down taste. Overall, a decent beer. I could drink it again.

Pours a light clear amber color with a white head feed by lots of rising bubbles a good supply of lace webbing left behind on my glass.
Aroma is light malt some light caramel hints plus ginger and hints of hops but ginger mainly.
Taste is again light malt and ginger some spicey hops mingled with the ginger but ginger takes center stage. Brewer says its a " lightly hopped Indian Pale Ale and then spiced with oriental Ginger- BAM up a notch." Well the ginger does come out on top. Not a bad beer actually one of the better ginger beers I have had, just don't be expecting a IPA with ginger hints as this is the other way around.
Mouthfeel is light medium good carbonation aides the spicey ginger.
Drinkability is good, fall a strange time to come out with this though would be great in the warm summer months.
