Crystal clear body and light amber color were the good aspects of the appearance of this newly bottled beer, while the non-existent head and an absence of lacing were not so good. The carbonation was active and steady. The aroma was light and malty and, to my nose at-least, exhibited a cooked corn DMS smell. The taste was better than the smell with a nice interplay between sweet malt and spicy hops. Pretty light on the palette and simple in construction, this Morena is better than the regular Cancun, but not by much.

The beer arrived on the bar crystal clar copper with a low white head which fell quickly but almost laced the glass.

The aroma was slightly sweet with honey and caramel aromas dominating. Not much else was present.

The flavor was sweet, but not cloying with a strong caramel presence and honey flavors. The beer was fairly crisp and contained just a smidge of bittering behind the malt flavors.

The finish was dry with a strong lasting impression of caramel. The body was medium. This was a fairly boring beer and drank easily when food was present, but more of a chore due to the sweetness when drank by itself.

Pint at Summits in Cumming, GA. Called Cancun Dark Lager.

This is a copper-colored body with an ok white head. There's more of that cooked corn in the aroma. This really bugs me coming from an all-malt beer. There's a slight hop tingle in the back of the flavor and a small bit of caramel that make up a little for the corn, but not for all of it.
