Brought back from Brazil, best by 09/08/21
Pours a large frothy off-white creamy almost 2 finger head with good retention, soapy lacing, very clear auburn slight ruby color
Nose brings sweet malts, caramel, toffee, biscuity, toasted bread dough, a bit of a sweet syrup and overly caramelized sugar character but not too much, lots of bready malts, brown bready malts with a bit of a Kvass-like character, a bit of dark fruits
Taste brings more of that Kvass character interestingly, lots of brown bread and a little toasted bread crust, but also dark fruits with raisin, raisin bread and some dried apricot and white raisin, plum, etc, plenty of malt-derived and some yeast derived fruity esters, some caramelized sugars, with more biscuity toffee and a bit of hop bitterness, a little corn and straw, quite toasted bready overall, a bit of spicy hops and bitterness, lots more toasted bready and dark fruits
Mouth is med to a bit fuller bod, a touch syrupy, med-lighter carb
Overall not bad, a nice bock with some interesting Kvass-like bready malts and lots of dark fruits, a very hearty beer esp coming from Brazil

Caramel color with a thick two finger off-white head with decent retention.
Aroma with notes of caramel, mild sugar cane and mild malt toasted.
Flavor with notes of caramels, slightly toasted malts, faint apple puree and generic hops. Dry aftertaste with a mild to medium bitterness. It feels lower than its 26 IBUs.
Light body with carbonation of big bubbles.
Bock with mild sugar cane (rapadura) nuances. It didn’t reveal the usual medium malt complexity.
