Strong and full-bodied beer from South of Brazil. This beer don“t have the same citrus characteristic of other beers from Schmitt. Dense and consistent foam. Aroma of yeast and fruity (especially orange). Taste of alcohol, fruit and a bit of hops. Very good!

Wow, what a great beer.
A bit too pale for a barleywine, otherwise this is perfect, appearance-wise. Rich, thick, creamy head that lasts with awesoe lacing into a Schmitt Barleywine Tulip. Very pale, like, pale ale pale. Looks more like a Wheat Wine, really.
Tons of spicy, earthy hops. Best By date is 2012, I can't imagine this doesn't last, although the hop character is so pronounced and delightful right now, I can't imagine sitting on it. Just a bit of diacetyl, and clean, sharp bitterness, with a rich, malty smooth middle. Not a lot of toast (commensurate with the malt profile).
Really, tastes like an English Pale on steroids with the yeast profile reigned in supremely. Silky smooth on the palate, feels like a ton of wheat is around.
Seriously, just a great beer. A shame this isn't more widely available, I'd buy this routinely. Definitely bringing some back from Brazil!

Poured at Anhanguera Bar in Sao Paulo into snifter glass. Poured a hazy orange color with a thick foamy head. The color was a bit lighter than I excepted but the head retention was very good. The smell is faint whiff of tropical pineapple, with hints of carmel and malt. The taste was on the sweeter side without much hop bitterness or taste, again flavors of pineapple, toffee, and malt with a small hint of alochol. The mouthfeel was smooth and the carbonation was not overpowering. The alcohol level, while there is not overpowering. Overall a great brazilian beer.
