I would like to support this beer since it is in my backyard, but it is a little tough to...
It pours out a light golden color, but darker than a bud or something to that affect. white head that quickly went away.
Smell to me is malty and sweet. some hints of cirtus in it, and a little bit of skunk.
Taste has a lemon flavor to it. I think it is because they want to compliment boiled crawfish. it also has a sweetness to it that can be refreshing at times, or could be disgusting if thats not what you are looking for.
Mouthfeel is average for the style, maybe a little bit heavier. Average carbonation.
Overall i do get it more than i should, but since its local, i should support it.

thanks goes to biglove from the other site. from the bottle had this after working in the yard and needed something to take care of the thrist. and this did it. pored a nice golden color wit a white head. aroma clean and crsip, hops, citrus, lemon. flavor yeast, citrus, lemon, and hops. the way this poured and tasted I thought I was drinking a hefe weizen.

12oz bottle from BigLove as part of The Blue & Gray BIF. Thanks for the opportunity.
Poured into an imperial pint glass, formed a big ol' 2" bright white head above the slightly cloudy light golden brew. Head lasts well, receding in an uneven pillowy fashion, but for all the pretty foam, laces only slightly above average. Still, for the style, it looks nice. Aroma is minimal, but what there is slightly citrus-tinged pale, pale malts. Taste is just like the nose, light on flavor, but nothing off, which is always a bonus. Mouthfeel is smooth and clean, and drinkability is exceptional, if for no other reason there's nothing to turn you away.

Presentation: 12 oz longneck bottle with a fleur de lis, and the declaration that "Big Taste, Goes Down Easy."
Appearance: Wow - this was impossible to pour. No matter how gently I poured the head frothed and foamed - it took several tries to get this all in the glass. Color is pale gold, and as mentioned, the head is *huge*
Smell: Aroma smells like most macro lagers - fairly clean, with hints of corn.
Taste: Wow - that explains the huge head. This is waay over carbonated. So bubbly that it is hard to get much else from the taste.
Overall impression: First, thanks to BigLove - this was part of my 2005 Secret Bunny. This one was so bubbly that it was hard to get a good idea of the actual taste behind the beer. From other reviews it appears other people have had this problem - might be a consistency problem.

Another bottle shipped by BigLove as part of the Confederate BIF, Big Easy Beer came in a brown 12 oz. bottle. After opening and pouring the carbonation was way over the top, and it took several attempts to get the beer into the glass. The underlying body was pale clear yellow with fizzy bubbles. The aroma, what aroma? There was nothing to smell here. The taste was weak as well with nondescript tasteless pale malts and a lemony sour yeasty flavor. No hop bitterness to be found anywhere. Easy drinking and inoffensive.

Appearance This one poured a big, hazy orangish-yellow in color with a monstrous head that lasted forever and left clumps of shaving cream lacing on the inside of my glass. This one has some serious yeast going on in there.
Smell The malts are very easy (or is that big) on the nose. The aroma here is big and bold. The yeast is tingly and the light grassy hops are musty. Nice.
Taste I like the malt base to this beer. I think the yeast though (something, Im guessing the yeast) imparts a bit of sourness to the flavor profile that drives it off-style a bit. The light grassy hops are still here, but its more saisonish that it is an ale.
Mouthfeel This is light to medium-bodied with an off tingly sensation in the mouth.
Drinkability Its not a bad drinker but a bit off-style.

Big Easy Brewery recently got a new brewmaster, so the Big Easy Beer that is available now is different from the one that, I suspect, has been reviewed thus far.
Big Easy is a standard, semi-light lager with little to distinguish itself but also little to really damage itself. Whereas the old Big Easy had a somewhat distincitve flavor (be it good or bad), the new Big Easy has been smoothed out and now has a fairly average flavor, hence the average scores that I awarded it. I gave it a 4 on drinkability because it's quite easy to drink and you won't find yourself getting sick of it, at least not in my opinion.
The Big Easy Brewery is currently in a state of flux and they will be attempting to roll out new beers as time goes by. Also, hopefully they will be able to achieve more consistency, which I think was the main shortcoming of the Brewery early in its existence.

This tastes almost exactly the same as JW Dundee's Honey Brown, the only real difference between the two is appearance, this is a little lighter in color. Much like Dundee's the sweetness in this begins to get old after a few. This isn't something I'll pick up again, especially at $6.99 for a sixer.

One of several beers that I tried on my recent New Orleans trip.
Very yellow in color with an excessive fizzy white head. No real aromatics to speak of. Flavor is mostly metallic and small remainder is well... metallic. Mouthfeel is thin and dry. This is an awful beer, I couldn't finish it.
