Copenhagen 19/10 2023. 33 cl paper-wrapped bottle from Spar, Langestraat, Oostende. White paper with gold illustrations. A row of houses and a little tractor with a cart.
Pours unclear golden yellow with a big white head. Stable. Settles as thin creamy layer of foam just covering the surface of the beer. Crawling up the sides of the glass. Substantial lacing.
Aroma is medium intensewith a sweet, malty and fruity odor mingling with a subtle sourish scent with a touch of yeast. Sweet pale malts, banana and sweet blood orange. Whiff of sour grains and humid cellar.
Light carbonation. Medium thick, oily, soft, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is medium intense with a rather strong sweetness followed by a moderately strong bitterness. Aftertaste is sweet with a light touch of alcohol. Bitter underone. Lingers for a while. Finish is semi-dry with a light boozy burn.
Well balanced and well made. Not too boozy.
