On-tap in a pint glass.

A solid beer that (sadly) seems to be discontinued or relegated to a rotating release. Pours a nice clear brown color with minimal head. Has the generic "Olde Main" malt smell, but a bit sweeter than usual. The taste is of malts and various indistinguishable "agricultural" flavors... certainly a mild honey sweetness, but some other more earthy and grainy elements are present as well. The beer is light- to medium-bodied and smooth.

Overall, it's a very solid and drinkable beer. When I was living in Ames, I'd always begin my Wednesday night sessions with a few pints of this or the Amber ale. Solid, robust, consistant, and enjoyable.
