Tulip pour at The Reservoir. The appearance was a hazy burnt orange to yellow color with a thin white little head. Messy to speckled lacing clings around the glass. The smell had some sweet onion, sweet grass, light grapefruit. Light pine is the bitterness underneath (extremely light but there). The taste took all of those previously mentioned flavors and combined but came across super light. It actually came across more bitter than sweet. On the palate, this one sat about a light on the body making it definitely session worthy. Carbonation runs light allowing the bitterness to hit adequately. Overall, as a session IPA it works. I could have again as is. But definitely treat this as a session IPA and one won’t be disappointed.

A- In-house pour at the Reservoir from tap to a snifter with a pale yellow, hazy body. A white crown ends as a formation about two fingers high with a foamy consistency. Wide fluffy ring remains depositing a mix of webs and sheets of lace.

S- Moderate hop strength that is focused at the junction between citrus and stone fruits but not necessarily juicy. Tangerine up front with apricot, peach, floral and orange notes. Clean of malts and yeast for the most part.

T- Mimics the nose very closely with a slight bit of added resinous quality as the tangerine and sweet orange leads off. Ruby red grapefruit comes out with other hop tones like apricot, mango, flowers and herbal spice. Pale grains form a bed of balance but very light as the hops shine.

MF- Medium overall thickness with a frothy creamy texture but comes off just a bit on the thin side. Fairly high level of the bubbles with a crisp, dry bite. Bitter finish.

Medium hop level that doesn't take the pungent juicy route but more of a dry citrus and floral bouquet. For an in-house brew at the Res its a good one.
