From a Winter 2024 Pack. Served cold into an Innis & Gunn tulip. Best before June 2026.
Appearance - Mostly clear vibrant amber brew with two plus fingers of loose and foamy off-white head. Pretty good retention time.
Smell - Plenty of spices on the nose, some earthiness, hints of vanilla and a leafy minerality to the nose.
Taste - Plenty of spices, lots of oak, suggestions of rum infusion. Plenty of malt hits of vanilla. An offshoot of what made this brand initially so successful.
Mouthfeel - Low carbonation, medium body, semi-dry finish.
Overall - One of the better renditions of the classic I&G ale.
