Sampled from a 330 mL blue aluminum can.
This kölsch style ale poured a hazy, golden-amber color with creamy, slightly off-white foam that persisted quite a while and clung to the glass and coated in clumps. There was a steady carbonation fizz from the bottom of the glass. The smell was decently hoppy with a mostly bitter hops aroma. There was also a very light malt sweetness and a light crispness. The taste was dominated by mild but assertive bitter hops with a very light bready maltiness. The finish was hoppy with a very slight touch of sourness. The mouthfeel was dry and crisp with medium-light body and strong carbonation. The feel was a bit harsh, especially in the finish. The hoppy flavors (with a touch of soapiness) lingered. This was a rather thin example of the style, though it did improve as it warmed up. I was unsure of what to make of the haziness, but perhaps this was an unfiltered kölsch. Thanks to Naerhu for this beer.
