Growler filled at the brewpub.
First imperial pint pours with a 3/4" bright white head over the clear light gold (yellow?)brew. Pillowy head lasts well, with sticky lasting lace. Aroma is light pale malt sweetness with wisps of grassy hops. Taste is mild pale grains with balancing bitterness, and a crisp finish. Mouthfeel is clean although a bit watery, and drinkability is tremendously easy. Might be bit low on excitement, but this one is highly sessionable.

Sampled on-tap at the brewpub July 2005.
This Helles Lager poured a clear, yellow color with creamy, white foam that setted to a thin coat on the surface of the beer. The smell was minimal: some malt with a hint of biscuit, and improved as the glass warmed. The taste was mildly malty with a hint of sweetness, mild hoppiness, and a slightly tangy finish. The mouthfeel was smooth with medium-light body and moderate carbonation and light hoppiness in the finish and aftertaste. This was a decent lager, though fairly tame.
