Poured really slowly and got 3/4 foam that continued to grow, eventually overflowing over out of the glass. Smell is faint roast, nothing special. I'm trying to get anything but roast and heat but it's hard to get past how overcarbed and thin this is.
Not great. Happy it was >$10. I'm a sucker for hazelnut and coconut(who isn't?) This wasn't even close to decent.

From the 650 ml. bottle purchased at the Yankee Spirits store in Sturbridge, Massachusetts. This is brewed exclusively for these stores. Sampled on August 28, 2016.
Gorgeous looking beer with a dark brown to near black color underneath a froth, lasting burnt umber-orange kind of head.
The aroma has a deep dark roasted malt character and a little booze, maybe from the Bourbon Barrel aging. I pick up a little of the Hazelnut and there is a low to no hop profile.
The body is medium to near full but milky smooth.
The booze is way too noticeable in the flavor for my enjoyment. Oh certainly I get a bit of coconut milk and Hazelnut as well as roasted malts. The alcohol is warming at the finish. If the booze had been more subtle I might have liked it more. Maybe aging would have mellowed it some.

From a bomber into a Stout glass. Pours pitch black with a tan head. Creamy in appearance.
Faint smell of hazelnut, bit of alcohol on the nose. Coconut is starting to come thru as well.
Tasting some chocolate/roasted malts, the hazelnut finishes in the aftertaste, reminds me of hazelnut coffee.
Not getting much coconut if any in the taste. The bourbon, I want to believe it's there.. and it might be, but its subtle at best.
No ABV listed on bottle, but it does say "Brewed Exclusive for Yankee Spirits" (the liquor store I bought it at).
