Convict Hill Stout aged 4-6 months in whiskey barrels. The whiskey barrels add a nice rounded vanilla and oak backbone.

10oz draft pour. Black color with brown head that dissipates. Nice lacing. Slightly boozy aroma. Licorice notes along with the barrel and malt. Body seems a bit lighter than original.

I had this on tap at Independence Brewery

The beer had a dark color with very little head. I thought it was much better than the regular Oatmeal Stout. There is a definite taste of the whisky which really complements the beer. Aged in the barrels 6 months if I remember correctly
