Poured from a can into a pint glass. Very dark brown with a nice head and good lacing. The smell is a bit fruity. The taste is strong in toasted malt with a nice balance of citrusy hops. A nice black IPA.

I picked this up at Central Market after they handed me a sample.

It's a nice pitch brown color, with a 1 inch head, poured in a Sam Adams glass. The nose and taste are similar, with slight hops and roasted malt essence. The hop flavor is a bit muted by the roasted malt, but its still very pleasant.

The mouthfeel is smooth, and lighter than I expected from a dark beer. It's not too heavy, not too light, but just right. Its a good beer that I will buy it again.
