I will say this was out of a can, so maybe a fresh tap would be better. I thought to myself, how are they going to pull off a coffee blonde? Seems impossible to have a blonde ale with a dark coffee. Anywho, very simply: they didnt. One of very few beers I didnt feel bad about letting go to waste. There is a nitro ball in the can. The beer spewed out as if I shook it for five minutes. When pouring into the glass, I ended up 75% foam and the rest liquid. In my opinion these nitro balls make beers taste flat even though theyre bubbly as all hell. Glad I bought only one to try. Good job exploring something new that piqued my interest, but this is an awful brew.

Served on tap in a pint glass
Appearance – The beer is served a clear golden color with a one finger head of fizzy white foam. The head fades over a moderate level of time leaving just a little bit of foamy lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma of the brew is fruity and bready with the fruity aroma being of a bit of orange and some peach. Along with these smells comes a little bit of grass and hay.
Taste – The taste begins with a bit of a slightly bready and crackery taste with a touch of grain and grass. There is a tiny bit of a caramel sweetness upfront which gets a touch stronger as the taste moves forward. All the while some hay and grass comes to the tongue and leaves one with a moderately sweet and bready taste to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body of the brew is on the average side in terms of thickness and creaminess with a carbonation level that is normal. For feel is decent and makes for a nice easy drinking brew.
Overall – A decent kolsch overall, but nothing all that great. Worth a try but nothing to go out of your way for.
