Poured into a snifter, it has a nice dark body and its a bit translucent towards the edges showing off a burnt brownish red color and is topped off with about an inch of thick, bubbly head that fades into a thin outer ring around the glass. There is a lot of carbonation coming up from the middle.
I think the aroma is nice but a little light for a stout; you can pick up hints of chocolate of course, butter, brown sugar and vanilla, I could not smell the cinnamon.
The taste is on the light side, the bitterness of cocoa is very present along with the vanilla and I do taste the cinnamon, but it is a very mild aftertaste.
I think it's a bit light over all for a stout(American Stout) very light bodied and light in flavor.
Overall this is not a bad stout. I just wouldn't buy this one again only because I thought it was lacking in flavor, otherwise, it is pleasant to drink, no strong alcohol flavors and it does leave an interesting aftertaste in your mouth.

12 oz can, poured into a snifter at ~40 degrees F.
L: Pours your typical stout inky black, though with some cola-like brown translucence at the edges. Forms a finger and a half of light tan head with okay retention.
S: Cold, this smells of milk chocolate and what I can only describe as "ferrous cinnamon". As it warms, the chocolate smell becomes more rich, and is joined by some notes of vanilla and a faint something almost like blueberry.
T: Cold, this opens like chocolate milk with some charred black bread. Some faint hints of cinnamon appear as it moves along. As it warms, that flavor profile remains relatively unchanged, but with some notes of vanilla that emerge alongside the chocolate.
F: Rather thin for a stout.
O: While interesting, not one I'd be likely to repeat.

Pours an effervescent cola/mahogany color with 2 fingers of caramel colored head, No head retention or lacing
S: Cocoa, cinnamon, iron, some vanilla once warm
T: Cocoa, iron, roastyness & a little dryness, plus a kiss of cinnamon up front. Dryness, a little cinnamon, chile & cocoa once warm. Finishes roasty with a little cinnamon & cocoa
MF: Medium body & pretty firm carbonation, body thins a bit as it warms, carbonation drops off a little
Nothing new here, not bad, but regretting buying a sixer of this

Really lovely. Pours a dark color. Nice initial head that rapidly dissipated. Aroma has generous Mexican milk chocolate hints. The taste follows the nose with a well-proportioned melange of Mexican chocolate, vanilla, coconut with some roast and a small floral hop. Medium bodied. A good cold winter night brew. Recommend drinking at room temp.
