32 oz. Crowler fill at the brewery on July 22 2018. Opened on July 25.
Solid gold and light copper color, clear but lively with a fatty foam cover, slightly off white that recedes to a decent, scattered covering and a bit of lace.
The nose is very interesting, tropically sweet fruity hop scent, wild honey, pine tree sap, melon and sour/tangy fruits mingle together. A very wild fruity ovetall hop dominated aroma.
A medium to full bodied, lush and silky mouthfeel and texture has a pretty impressive impression right off. The rather hefty malty side brings in caramel amd honey like sweetness. A grainy, dry-earthy thing rides in next from the hops, herbal and medicinal style flavor's, slightly bitter, turns dry again as the lightly sweet, pine and sour, bitter grapefruit hop element brings in around full circle. Decent complexity in both feel and flavor. The aftertaste has a dry, bitter, dusty and weedy effect. * intetesting side note: if you burp, it tastes like very green and freshly crushed up hop cones! Some weirdo, left-over slick and bitter effects come from a lack of carbonation and freshness after three days in a can. Really should be fine after three days, but I can detect some "aging" as the session rolls on.

Poured from a brown 12 oz. bottle. Has a dark golden color with a 1/2 inch head. Smell is of citrus, mango. Taste is of orange peels, some pine, light mango, considerable bitterness. Feels medium bodied in the mouth and overall is a good quality beer.

This beer pours a hazy golden orange with a one finger, very bubbly white head. Retention is moderate and there are many sticky chunks of lacing.
Smell is very citrus forward with lots of pine and a touch of sweet malt. The citrus flavors include orange, lemon and grapefruit pith.
Taste is the same with a bitter finish. Hop flavors dance on the tongue long after the sip is finished.
Feel is medium and sticky with a surprisingly dry finish.
Overall this is a very solid beer. Best I've had from Middle Ages. Very hoppy and Americanized from a brewery who is known for English styles.

Sold in six-pack bottles now. It poured a crisp golden color with a substantial off-white head, long lasting lacing. Big nose with sharp piney, citrus and herbal hops aroma. Fairly light bodied for an Imperial. Middle Ages has created a nice US/Brit hybrid with this beer using US hops and British malt. While it leans strongly toward an American IPA with the US hops, its British roots are still evident. So you get the piney, grapefruit/citrus taste you'd expect from an American IPA along with the hint of clove/banana typical of British beers. It has a very clean finish and is deceivingly smooth for an 8.1% Imperial.

Pours a honey gold with a finger of soapy head that slowly recedes to a cap. Hoppy pine aroma. Taste follows nose. Very nice chrispy feel. Satisifying.
