a delicious citrus pale ale as they describe it at the brewery. im not sure if there is actually citrus fruits in here, or just citrusy forward hops and i go back and forth on it while i drink it. its pale and a little hazy, yellowish in color with a tall white foamy head with great lace as it sips. the aroma is awesome fresh lemon zest and oily fresh hops, pungent and herbaceous, but also well described as delicate in some ways. the beer is very light for how flavorful it is, maybe some pils and wheat malts in there with the pale two row barley. it has some soft fluffiness in the texture that is really awesome with the citrus flavors. some grapefruit bitterness rather than lemon freshness in the flavor, which suggests maybe some citrus peel was added. a lot of the flavor comes from late kettle and dry hop additions though, its more aromatic and bright than it is bitter, juicy even, refreshing and super drinkable. i always associate this brewery with big malty and english yeast forward ales, but this is a very american style pale ale. really well done.
