The beer pours a nice amber color with a thick frothy white head that slowly fades to lacing. The aroma is good. It has a well balanced pale and Carapils malt scent along with a really nice hop nose and Ringwood yeast aroma. The taste is good as well. It's you typical IPA, boasting pale and light crystal malts. It's a little fruitier because of the Ringwood yeast. The hop character is good, but not overly done. The mouthfeel is fine. It is a medium bodied beer with adequate carbonation. This is an easy drinking IPA. It's got excellent balance and isn't too aggressive.

 

Had this on tap in the 'Cuse. The name "Armoury" comes the fact that Clark's is in Armory Square.

Appearance was a light gold, not alot of head.

Smell was average, a bit of hops and malt.

Taste was great. I'm not a huge IPA fan but this was very well done, not overly bitter and not to much hop or alcohol. Definately a bit different than other IPA's, this was refreshing.

Mouthfeel was good, by far less carbonated than I thought, but the balance was perfect.

Drinkability here is average. If your at Clark's and have a good sandwich, go for it.

Had a pint at Clark's Ale House. I asked and apparently this is the IPA on cask. I can see some similarity, but by the nature of cask, its still a different beer. This had a herbal, almost minty or basil-like hops to it with a light malt backbone. Very drinkable and the alcohol was well-hidden. Not amazing, but a nice drink.

Brewed specifically for Clark's Ale House in Syracuse, and had on cask there at the real ale festival. Good hop scent. Light gold colour with a bit of bubbles on top. Batch went very quickly. Mild and light mouthfeel. A bit better than average as far as the cask ales I have tried.
